For the second straight season, the No. 7 Iona College men's cross country team earned an automatic bid into the NCAA Championship with a second place team finish at the 2016 NCAA Northeast Regional Championships at Van Cortlandt Park. The Gaels finished behind No. 5 Syracuse to earn its 15th straight consecutive appearance at the national championship in Terre Haute, IN in just eight days.
